Hi everyone! One of the great things about running a small business is that work can also be fun. It’s always a great idea to get out in the community to see what’s going on around town. As you know from my previous post, Ms. Kelly was out of town for a few days. When she decided to grace us with her presence, (Don’t tell her but I kind of missed her! Lol) we decided to hit the town and see what’s hot in Tampa. We chose the Ybor City Jazz House since we received an invite from the promotor and our friend Demetrick Brown of Beautiful People. They have a nice relaxed atmosphere on Sunday nights. The DJ plays a variety of music from old school, 90’s, & 00’s R&B along with live performances from local artists. The drinks are amazing and there’s hookah! One of the best things about the Ybor City Jazz House is they have 3 levels. On the first floor there was live music. The second floor there was a spades game going down in the middle of the room. There was football on multiple screens and people dancing to old school music. Finally the third floor is a rooftop overlooking the historic Ybor City. There were local artists performing and an overall good vibe. The host was Ryan Robinson, Tampa’s very own funny man. Ryan and I went to high school together. He loves to tell everyone my maiden name since he says he will never get used to Mrs. Reed because he’s known me too long! With great music, Ryan making us laugh, and Demetrick taking good care of us as his guests, this will definitely be our Sunday spot.
